About Us

The South Peace Oilmen’s Association was formed in 1990 and registered in January of 1991 as a non-profit Society in BC.

The purpose of the organization is to provide a social network for men involved or interested in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The organization began with 25 members and has grown over the years. Although the original purpose was social in nature, the club helped with many community projects and fund raising efforts.

The first project was a major overhaul at Bear Mountain Ski Hill. The entire membership participated to refurbish the lift, groomer and snowmaking system.

The club has held a annual golf tournament since 1991 on the 3rd weekend in June. “Lobsterfest” is another annual event held since 2006 falling on the day before Mother’s Day.

Members of the South Peace Oilmen’s Association take pride in their fund raising efforts and their support of many local needs.

The support of the Community and the Oil and Gas Industry has made it possible for the club to support local needs, especially children.
